We are still searching for information about
the old Cuba School. We currently occupy part of
that complex, the rest having been torn down
some years ago. If anyone has any information
regarding the school's history, please contact Bill
Capehart at 573-885-4811.
Within the next month, students from the
Crawford County R-2 High School history class-
es will begin attending seminars at the museum
given by Phinis Deardeuff. The theme of the
seminars will be the 19th Century American
History with the emphasis on the Civil War.
This is part of our continuing goal for the
museum to be used as an educational tool for our
area youth. We hope that other schools and
youth organization will consider the educational
opportunities which the museum offers.
A reminder to our members, dues were due in
March. If you have not paid, please do so as soon
as possible. The dues monies go toward opera-
tions expenses and the publication of the
newsletter.
Anyone wishing to join the society can call
Bill Capehart at 573-885-4811 for the member-
ship fee and then send a check to P.O. Box 706,
Cuba, MO 65453. We always welcome new mem-
bers.

April 17 at 1 p.m. Please make plans to attend.
