These 'following stories were written by ele-
mentary students who attending the Cuba Free
Press Newpapers in Education night held on
March 20. Topics rarfged rom "my favorite ani-
mal", "what I did aTe-school today'S=and "my
favorite vacation".
Today at school I did English in
English I read a story and wrote about
the story. In math I took a this test. I
went to art in art I painted stars red and
blue. Then I had inside recess and had to
owe it then I did s.s. then my teacher
talked until time to go home.

3rd grade
I DiD Math. I read Books. I Played
inside my room. We had gym class. I had
a sub sandwich for lunch.
Shelby Schultz-lst grade
What I did at school today was take
music we sang beautiful songs. There
was practice for the school play that will
be in May. I went to Library and comput-
er. I did lots of math today.
Tara Monroe-2nd grade
Cuba 3rd and 4th graders went to a
math contestat Vienna at 8:30 a.m. on
March 20th. At the contest Cuba took 3rd
place. Individual awards were won by
Matt Mueller, Casey Chitwood, and
Megan Robb. Congratulations to all that
participated!

I went to the bathroom, took an AR
test and took a nother, and went to music.
and went to the cafutereya, and went to
the dath room again. I did a 100 math
test: and had inside resses, and went to
the bath room. and got a sick er in my
juornal, and went home.

What I did at school today. I studied
about u.s.a, maps. I found Montana. My
Mom and Dad went there to look at cows.

recess. Also I played with my girlfreind. I

I do my work at school, I do Math and
Spelling, time test, reading going to
music, I get all my work, 100 on comput-
er ress is fun and Library is great gam is
fun and music is fun.

I wrote a math paper, science paper
and worked on the smart board. I went to
P.E. in Mrs. Curler's class. P.E. stands for
Physcical Educhtion. A smart board is a
Bigger computer that you can touch to
use it. We went to enernet exporer that's
a web sit. And we work on saved
webquest. We wrote how we feel about
the war in our jounal.
David-3 Grade
Miracle dog
One day are part rat terrier Thomas
went outside. He didn't know about the
fercoius hungry wild dogs that were
romping around the place. Then they
snuck up on him pounced and grabbed
hold of hi neck. Then mom came out and
yelled at them. They dropped Thomas
and ran. Then one came back and picked
him back up. Morn yelled agiain. This
time the dog dropped him for good. After
2 days Thomas recovered.

My cat is black and her name is Boo
and sometimes she acted dumb and some
silly things she did is I would throw a
stick and she would go looking for it and
never found it. One other thing is if you
stand 4 ft from the garage and she would
get down and if you moved she would
attack you and scare you to death. Boo
was a good gard cat and a silly cat. The

My dogs name is Meagan, she is a Rat
Terrier. She lives inside. I have had
Meagan for 4 years. She is very gentle.
She is very protective. She always barks
at everyone she can see. She doesn't bite.
She is spoiled rotten. We always give her
small peices of our food at dinner. She
puts her 2 front legs on our lap when she
wants food. She is so cute we give her
some. My morn dosen't really like
Meagan sleeping with us but we beg her
and she finally let's us. Meagan is a very
good pet. I love her a lot.

One time I went to Branson. My
favorite part was when we rode bumper
boats. We made teams and" who ever
could get the most wet won. So, we had a
contest and my cousin Jenna and I won,
we were so soaked!! It looked like we got
out of a pool! Then, we went to an arcade
room where I cashed in $5.00 and went to
TOWN!

My favriot pet was my dog. I had him
since I was born. His name was Kate. He
loves to sleep with me at night. He was
also preteeatice. He loockes like a lion.
Because he was a chow. Witch is a type of
dog. He realy liked it in side. Nov he is
dead and I miss him a lot.

Once there was boy he wanted a dog so
bad. Then one day he told his parents he
wanted a dog then one day I went to a pet
store. I saw this brown dog he looked
awsam but then I saw this dog he was
brown and wite then I got hime. I named
him Doce his name is Dustins routy
Docer De. And that is how I got my won-
derful dog.

Once there was a terrible Dustin-Rex
Doyle that followed me from down the
street. He Looked big, green and ugly!
Nikita said,'Can we keep him!" My morn
said,'No, he eats to much!" Then Dustin-
Rex ate all the houses in town! After
Dustin-Rex ate all of the houses he got a
huge tummy ache! After awhile he blew
up! The End

It is my fish. I don't feed it all the time
and It still lives. I've had it since kinder-
garten. It got his name by morn asking
"Did you feed It"?, 'Is It still alive?" It
stares at me when I stand next to it and

on the sea shor. And I got all wet and I got
to go to the botom of the boat to get dry.

My best vacacion was when I went to
Indiana and I viseted with my cosins. We
stayed on the 4th of July. We shot off fire
works. I had a lot of fun in Indiana. I got
to viset all of my relatives. I like to go to
Indiana'. I went to a shop and I got a
flute. My cosins Shelby, Colby got me a
necklace that is purple and green. We
drove and then we stayed at my cosins

Tan-Tar.A-the best place to go for
Vacation
MyVacation in Tan-Tar-a was really fun.
We went swimming, bowling, and walk-
ing to the playground. At the playground
I met some new friends that were also at
the swimming pool. When we went bowl-
ing I won. I beat my dad by 3 points.
Although my mom said, "I don't think we
kept score right." When it was time to
leave I was hungry. We went to country
Fried Chicken and brought it to Lake of
the Ozarks and had a picnic there. Then
we went home and it seemed like forever.

My favorite vacation was when we
went to New York to visit my grandma
Sally and I got to go to the milk barn with
my uncle Bobby. We went shopping, we
watched the big boats go down the St.
Lawrence river. We swam in Lake
Ontario. We saw the cars and trucks
