involved with many community and charitable
organizations.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday, April 12, 2003 at Westside Baptist
Church with Rev. John Shaw officiating. Rev.
Lee Schaffer read the obituary and gave a
lovely and touching eulogy. Pianist, Greg Gabel
played as Mike Freeman sang, "How Great
Thou Art" and "Because He Lives." Serving as
escorts were Charles and Willie Freeman,
Wayne Gott, Bill Ransdall, Bobby Sellers and
Doug Wilkerson. Honorary escorts were Gilbert
Sellers and Co. Ed Owsley.
Burial followed in the Sellers Cemetery near
Davisville, Me. Services were under the direc-
tion of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
Sidney C. Wedding
Sidney C. Wedding nee Nash was bern
Wednesday, August 22, 1923, at Maceo,
Kentucky, a daughter of the late Sidney Critten
Nash and Lou Ellen Nash (nee Barnett).
She entered eternal rest Tuesday, April 15,
2003, at Bartesville, Oklahoma, at the age of 79
years, 7 months and 23 days.
On October 21, 1939, Sidney was united in
marriage to Joseph S. Wedding at Owensbero,
Kentucky. Two sons and four daughters were
born to this union. They enjoyed over forty-four
years together, before his death, May 1983.
In addition to her parents, one grandson,
John David Takacs; three brothers, James
Nash and wife Opal, Fred Nash and Rev. Lester
Nash; two sisters; Beulah and husband George
E. Young and Blanche Fulkerson and brothers-
in-law, Denham Crawford and O.T. Miller, pre-
ceded her in death.
Among those who remain to mourn her pass-
ing are two devoted sons and four loving
daughters, Joseph S. Wedding, Jr. and wife
Trinka of Manchester, Me., Patricia and hus-
band John Takacs of Lebanon, Me., Larry W.
Wedding and wife Shirley of DavisviUe, Me.,
Rebecca and husband Louis McKain of
Indianapolis, Indiana, Brenda and husband
Gary Davis of Dewey, Oklahoma, Margie and
husband Jack Turnbough of Davisville, Me.
She is also survived by one brother, Clarence
Nash of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Katherine
Crawford and Virginia Miller, beth of
Owensboro, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Idella
Nash of Danville, Kentucky; thirteen grandchil-
dren; seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and many
friends.

Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Me.
Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Friday,
April 18, 2003, in the Britton Chapel with Rev.
H. E. Thrasher officiating. Linda Hedgcoth,
Charlene Civey, Harold and Joan Slade provid-
ed music. Sidney's grandchildren Carter,
Jeremy, Summer, Lisa and Grayson Davis also
provided musical selections.
Committal prayers and interment were in
St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery,
Manchester, Me. with ROv. Jeff Nash officiating.
Summer Davis played "Amazing Grace" grave-
side on a French horn.
Honoring their grandmother as pallbearers
were Carter Davis, Grayson Davis, Jeremy
Davis, David Takacs, Ken Turnbough, Brian
Wedding, Scott Wedding and Tim Wedding.

Highway Patrol recorded one
accident from April 14 to April
20 in Crawford County.
An accident occurred on
April 14 at 11:30 a.m. in
Crawford County on Rt AA 2.1
miles west of Steelville.
A 2000 eastbound Ford driv-
en by Heather Turnbough, 18,
of Steelville, swerved to avoid
an animal in the roadway.
Turnbough's vehicle ran off
the left side, struck an
embankment, a tree and a
fence and came to rqton its
side.
Turnbough was transported
to Phelp's County Regional
Medical Center in Rolla by
Steelville Ambulance.
Turnbough was wearing her
seatbelt. Damage to the vehicle
was moderate.
