Pals pet of the week
Progressive Club to host Trivia
"Little Charlie" has quite a per-
Sonality. He is one of the most
happy-go-lucky dogs we have
had yet. His foster mom
describes him as having a
"vibrant personality and a fun
dog to have around.." He sits
pretty for a treat, loves toys,
gets along with other dogs and
cats and is good with children.
You can't sit down without hav-
Charlie jump in your lap
and one of his favorite pas-
times is to have his belly
scratched.
Charlle is about a year old and he is mixed with a
good personality, a sense of humor and a heart
larger than all 22 pounds of him. He is a fabulous
pet that will make someone a best friend for life. As
with all of our adoptions, the adoption fee Includes
all necessary vaccinations and worming medica-
tion while in our care. It also Includes spay/neuter
surgery or a certificate to have the surgery when it
Is time. For more Information please visit our web-
site at shelterpals.org or call 573-885-3778.

Night at Peaceful Bend Vineyard.
The Progressive Club of Steelville will be host-
ing a trivia night at Peaceful Bend Vineyard on
Saturday, June 26 at 7 p.m. in the wine cellar.
Teams of eight will compete for door prizes and
for the grand prize - $160! There will be refresh-
ments provided by the club members and all
proceeds will used for the club's charitable activ-
ities throughout the year.
The cost is $10/person. Reservations for
attending should be made by calling Peaceful
Bend Vineyard at 573-775-3000 or email at
peacefulChnisn.com. If you cannot make up a
table of eight, just let the winery know when you
call, and a team can be arranged for you!
The Progressive Club is made up of 20 ladies
from the greater Steelville area. The club raises
funds throughout the year for community and
school needs. Last year, a $1,000 donation was
given to the Go-Getters 4-H club to be used in
purchasing new playground equipment for the
Hoppe Spring Park in Steelville. Individuals as
well as organizations are often helped too. In the
past the club has sponsored food baskets during'
the holidays, special needs activities for school
children, and provided financial relief for indi-
viduals in need.
And while their charitable activities are
important to the club, one of the main activities
for the group is just having fun. The club's co -'
president Sandra Scott laughs about why they
are trying a trivia night as a fund-raiser this'
year, "We love to eat and gab anyway, so this is
right up our ally!" Scott invites everyone to come'
out to Trivia Night for a great evening of trivial
fun!
For more information about the event, please
call Peaceful Bend Vineyard or talk to any
Progressive Club member.
