The "Opry" will perform a Matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening show at 7 p.m. Campbell formerly of Bland Missouri owns the "Opry". He and his entourage have toured extensively but 16 years ago he settled down at his own theatre in i Draffenville, Kentucky. The music show is patterned after the suc- cessful formats of the shows in Branson. i -Campbell has been playing music since trading a pig and a saddle to Wade Hicks of Bland who "owned Hicks' Tavern for a 1939 Martin guitar. Campbell says, "I really wish 'I hadn't traded that guitar off. It was a costly mistake." The Braschler Music Show from Branson is coming in to cover for Campbell and his 14- member group at The Kentucky Opry Theatre back home in Draffenville. Campbell says, "We had to do a lot of planning to make this work. But Meramac Theatre wanted us and the band and I really wanted to come." Campbell added, "We travel very little because we play every weekend year around at Kentucky Lake. We do about 86 shows each year." The Kentucky Opry features Campbell, his two sons, Cody (19) Casey (16), and a trio of teenage girls, two comedians and a back-up band consisting of steel, lead, rhythm, piano, fid- dle, drums, bass, and back up singers.
