My dad's cool, funny and fun.
He helps me build things. He
helps me saddle my horse for a
ride. He always is interested in
what I'm doing. He has funny
stories. He always helps me reach
my goals. He takes us fishing. He
also takes us on trail rides.
Cuba Middle School's fifth
graders were asked to compete in
this year's Free Press In Education
Essay Contest. They each were
given the option of choosing either
their mother or father to write
about.
The Free Press selected Kristen
Bacon's essay (at left) as this year's
Father's Day winner. Kristen and
her dad, Ronald, received a $25 gift
certificate from Roberts-Judsons, a
$25 gift certificate from Missouri
Hick and a one year subscription to
the Cuba Free Press.
