Hayes transferred his membership from the West Plains Lions Club to become a charter member of the new Cuba Lions Club in May of 1953. Lion Hayes has been an active member of Cuba Lions Club ever since. Not only has Lion Hayes been an active member, he has had perfect attendance for over 49 years in the Cuba Lions Club.
